The Laurels Holiday Park Terms and Conditions
Please read our terms and conditions carefully before booking your stay at The Laurels.
Making a booking with The Laurels
Your agreement is between you and The Laurels. References to ‘the company’, ‘we’, ‘us’, and ‘our’ in these terms and conditions apply to The Laurels. References to ‘you’ in these terms and conditions are to you, as the person making the booking and, where applicable, to every member of your party.
There will be a contract between you and us:
• If you book by telephone when we accept your initial payment.
• If we issue you with written confirmation.
• If you book online when your booking is confirmed.
The person making the booking accepts the contract on behalf of all members of your party and is responsible for making sure they accept the contract. We cannot accept bookings from anyone under the age of 18.
If half or more of the party is aged between 17 and 25, you must tell us when you book. We have the right to refuse your booking or not to issue keys on arrival to any persons or groups at our discretion.
If you wish to book a single sex party you must tell us of this before you book.
We reserve the right to cancel any online booking that we reasonably believe breaches our terms and conditions of booking.
You must check your invoice and booking acceptance as well as all other documents we send you carefully as soon as you receive them. If any information appearing on any document appears to be inaccurate in any way, you must let us know straight away. We regret we cannot accept to make any liability to make changes if we are not notified of any inaccuracy in any document within 7 days of sending it out.
Telephone / Internet / Email bookings will only be accepted if we receive a deposit on the day of booking. We cannot reserve any bookings without a deposit.
Arrivals for touring pitches is from 2pm and departure is by 11:30am. All arrivals must report to the office when arriving on site, under no circumstances is a caravan to be sited without permission from The Laurels staff.
There is no guarantee of side by side pitches and The Laurels do have minimum stays of at least two nights over bank holidays. All touring pitches are based on two people sharing, and therefore additional people (over the age of 2) and awnings must be accounted for, with a charge of £2 a night. There are chemical waste disposal points on each section on the touring site, the CL, the Luxury Super Pitches and the Luxury Lakeside Pitches.
Tent bookings are for prior arrangement only.
Holiday Cottages and Luxury Lodges
The Laurels holiday cottages and lodges are a luxury option for self-contained holiday accommodation. The cottages and lodges have the essentials you need to enjoy a no hassle break including Linen, Towels, TV's, DVD Player, Music System, and fully equipped Kitchen including Microwave and Dishwasher, Shower Room/WC, Hairdryer, Furnished Patio or decking and shared Hot Tub.
Arrivals are from 4pm and customers are required to leave by 10am on the day of departure, unless agreed by The Laurels management. Dogs are accepted for no additional charge however, you must notify The Laurels of how many dogs you will be bringing on your holiday.
The Laurels maintain the hot tubs on a daily basis. In the event of inappropriate use resulting in chemical imbalances and the need to drain and refill the hot tub, a charge of £50 will be made to the person who made the booking. Guides of the use of our hot tubs are available in the accommodation.
Extensions can be arranged, subject to availability and possible relocation, although there is no guarantee that pitches can be extended beyond the date booked. If you wish to extend your stay please check with reception as soon as possible.
For fully booked dates customers can be added to a waiting list and any vacancies will be notified by telephone, with pitches allocated to the first paying respondent.
Following your booking and confirmed deposit/balance payment you will receive a receipt confirming your payment. Deposits are non-refundable and may only be transferred at the parks discretion. Please bring your booking receipt when checking in at reception. Any booking that has not had its balance paid by the due date will be cancelled with all monies already paid being forfeited.
Conditions of Booking
We reserve the right to decline or terminate the booking of any guest(s) whose party make-up or behavior interferes or may interfere with the general comfort of other guests. In this event no refunds will be made. No under 18’s unless accompanied by an adult. The person making the booking will be 18 years of age or older and will be present for the duration of the booking stay. They will be responsible for any damages caused.
Number in your party
The total number in your party must not exceed the capacity of the accommodation as advertised by us. Babies will be counted as members of your party. You should check the policy of your chosen accommodation carefully before booking. This is for insurance purposes. Any guests found to have exceeded the lodge capacity will be asked to leave immediately.
Family & visitors staying overnight should fill out an appropriate visitor’s form at the site office when they first arrive and pay the displayed tariff for vehicles & persons.
Children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times. It is particularly important that you always know where your children are, and that you provide adequate supervision for them at all times. The site has Deep water lakes.
The whole 20acre site is Doggy friendly. Please keep dogs on a lead and use the Doggy waste bin provided. Dog owners staying at The Laurels accept full responsibility for the conduct and behavior of their animal. A dog walk is provided.
Please drive slowly there are children and hens on site.
Changes during your stay
We cannot accept responsibility or compensation for circumstances beyond our control including (but not limited to) industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, technical problems, bad weather and acts of government.
Amendments to your booking
After you have paid your Deposit/Balance you may wish to change some elements of the Holiday, e.g. type of accommodation or duration. We will try to meet your request. It may be necessary to cancel your break due to illness, accident or change of circumstances. We cannot guarantee a full refund, however we will endeavour to come to an arrangement. Failure to arrive without satisfactory explanation or written cancellation will not be entitled to a transfer of stay.
If we make any major alterations to your booking
We try very hard to provide all facilities as advertised on our website. It may however be necessary to make some alterations in advance of your holiday. If such a change is necessary, we will endeavor to advise you in writing as soon as possible.
If we cancel your booking
We always endeavor not to change the date or cancel your booking, but in exceptional circumstances this may be necessary. We will inform you of the change of date or cancellation as soon as possible and give you the following options. A. accept the alternative arrangements as notified to you B. choose another available break from us at the advertised price C. cancel your holiday with a full refund of any money you have paid.
Rules and Regulations
The person completing the booking is responsible for the conduct of their party, It is your responsibility to read the rules & regulations and abide by the rules therein. Not reading the rules is not an excuse for infringement. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms and conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract and loss of the booking without refund. The Laurel’s reserves the right to ban individuals from future use of the park.
We ask all guests, group bookings in particular, to be respectful to other guests during their stay. Please keep noise and foul language to a minimum wherever possible. We have the right to refuse or hand over accommodation if the unreasonable behavior of anyone in your party is likely to cause offence to other guests or to members of staff. We reserve the right to terminate a holiday after the keys have been handed over, if the unreasonable behavior of anyone in your party is likely to impair the enjoyment, comfort or the health of other guests or members of staff. In these circumstances, no refund will be given.
Anyone defacing or causing damage to any buildings, equipment or property of the park faces immediate eviction and prosecution. The pitch hirer will be responsible for and charged for any damage /loss caused by themselves or their visitors to the pitch or to any park facility or other resident’s property. Your personal belongings, vehicles, vans and their accessories and contents are left at your own risk. The Laurel’s or its staff will not be liable for the loss, theft or damage of any property nor for any injury, accident or mishap to any person in the park. Customers must ensure that their property is secured and fully insured for any unforeseen eventuality.
If you have a comment
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your holiday, please speak to the Park Reception. In most cases they will be able to help you immediately so that you can enjoy the rest of your stay. However, if you are still dissatisfied, you must speak to the Park Management and record your complaint with them. If, at the end of your holiday, you feel that we have not dealt with your complaint satisfactorily, please write to the park owner at the Park no later than 28 days after the end of your holiday. Email firstname.lastname@example.org we are only able to take action on any complaints that are first brought to the attention of the Reception team whilst you are on your holiday and secondly received in writing within 28 days, unless there are exceptional circumstances. It is necessary for us to impose these limitations so that we have the opportunity to solve the problems experienced.
The information taken at time of booking is required to be collected for the purposes of processing your reservation at The Laurel’s. We may process your data to keep you informed of our activities and to keep you updated with news, offers and other information that may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to use your information for the marketing purposes described in this paragraph, please let us know. We may also disclose your data to CampStead Ltd who may contact you, inviting you to complete a questionnaire and review regarding your stay at our park. Please note our data protection policy is now in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation that came into place in May 2018.
